Imam Khomeini Grandson Emphasizes on Compassion

Certain people intend not to see realities or ignore them if they see them and level accusations against those warning them.

The grandson of founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Hassan Khomeini regretted that the compassionate aspect of the system was abandoned and much emphasis was laid on tough side of the Islamic Republic which date back to certain times and conditions.
“Unfortunately, a group of people do not pay due attention to kindness and mercifulness of Imam (Khomeini) either because of their animosity or involvement in daily matters,” Hojjatoleslam Valmoslemin Khomeini said.
Addressing members and officials of the Central Council of Imam Khomeini Relief Committee on the anniversary of its founding on March 6, he said that the establishment of the committee –which is in charge of assisting the poor – reflects the compassionate aspect of the Islamic Republic.
On behavior, teachings and thoughts of Imam Khomeini, the grandson referred to the Nojeh coup and a letter wrote by the founder of the Islamic Revolution to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on taking care of housing and livelihood of the families of the detainees of the event.
The Nojeh coup was an attempt to overthrow the newly established Islamic Republic of Iran on July 11, 1980.
“It is felt certain people intend not to see realities or ignore them if they see them. They level accusations against those give warning to them,” Khomeini regretted.
The attention of Imam to the families of those who attempted coup and took arms to kill under such circumstances of the Revolution and war (Iran-Iraq War) needs deliberation, he added.
“It is regretful that a group of people just emphasize on tough aspects of the Islamic Republic which date back to a certain time and condition and ignore the compassionate sides.”
Khomeini insisted that the merciful aspect of Imam’s life and the Islamic Republic must be also taken into the consideration.
Promoting the kindness of the system, which Imam Khomeini Relief Committee is one of its example, is not only a national and religious but also an official responsibility.
