Jamaran Website: The 2nd Mehr Artistic-Workshop Seminar was inaugurated in Isfahan’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Gallery on Saturday.
The seminar is being held to encourage sublime artistic works including calligraphy, illumination, painting and miniature by artists from the central province of Isfahan on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
About 30 committed and revolutionary artists attend the seminar in three groups; veterans; university professors and exemplary students.
The artists are creating works on Imam Khomeini and Islamic Revolution in the seminar which runs through Wednesday, February 3 from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m.
A ceremony to commemorate the late master Seyyed Ziaoddin Emami-Dehkordi, painter, took place in the inauguration event.
Some fans, professors and artists delivered speeches and described their memories of Mr Emami-Dehkordi in the event.
Hojjatoleslam Heshmati, head of Isfahan Department of the Institute for Compilation & Publish of Imam Khomeini Works, delivered a report on the seminar and motivation behind holding of the commemoration.
Master Kazem Chalipa also delivered lecture on the history of workshops of creation of artistic works as well as relations between structure and content in Islamic artifacts.
Master Sohrab Hadi talked about sublime Islamic art and the place of master Imami-Dehkordi in painting and its relation with genuine Islamic art.
